What Responsible Gaming Means

Responsible gaming isn't just about playing less — it means playing mindfully, in control, and for enjoyment. On Thrill, gaming should always be treated as entertainment, not a source of income.

The three core principles of responsible gaming are: Awareness — knowing how much time and money you're spending; Control — keeping that spending within limits you set yourself; and Balance — so that gaming never gets in the way of other areas of your life.

Thrill believes that with the right information and tools, every player can game responsibly on their own terms. This page brings those resources straight to you.

Please Note

Gaming is for entertainment. Losses are part of the experience — chasing them with more bets is not responsible play. Each bet is independent, and past results have no bearing on future outcomes.

Signs of Healthy Gaming Habits

The easiest way to know whether you're gaming responsibly is to ask yourself a few honest questions. Key signs of healthy gaming habits:

  • Gaming is a source of fun for you, not stress.
  • You decide in advance how much time and money you'll spend — and you stick to it.
  • You don't get upset after a loss or place extra bets to try to recover lost money.
  • Gaming isn't affecting your work, family, or other responsibilities.
  • You have hobbies and activities in your life outside of gaming.
  • You can stop playing at any time without feeling uncomfortable.

If none of these signs apply to you, you're maintaining healthy gaming habits. Still, checking in with yourself regularly is always a good practice.

Thrill's Self-Control Tools

Thrill gives you five powerful tools to stay in control of your gaming. You'll find them under the "Responsible Gaming" section in your account settings:

  • 1
Deposit Limits Set a maximum deposit amount on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Lowering your limit takes effect immediately; raising it takes effect after 24 hours.
  • 2
Session Time Limit Set a limit on how many hours you can play in a row. Once the limit is reached, the system will automatically end your session.
  • 3
Reality Check Pop-up reminders will appear at set intervals to let you know how long you've been playing and how much you've won or lost.
  • 4
Cooling-Off Period Temporarily suspend your account for 1 day, 7 days, or 30 days. During this period, you won't be able to access any games or place bets.
  • 5
Loss Limit Once your losses reach a set amount, gaming will automatically stop. This protects you from further losses in moments when emotions are running high.

Advice for Family Members

If you think someone in your family may be struggling with a gaming problem, it's important to approach them the right way. A few things to keep in mind:

  • Approach the conversation with empathy rather than direct accusations. Instead of saying "You play too much," try "I'm worried about you."
  • Gather information. Learn about gaming addiction so you can better understand it and know how to help.
  • Recommend seeking professional help. Encourage them to speak with a mental health professional or counselor.
  • Cut off financial support. Lending money for gaming only makes problems worse.
  • Seek help for yourself too. A loved one's addiction is hard on the whole family. You may need support too.

Thrill's support team is also available to speak with family members. Reach out at support@thrill.wine.
